ISO 20000 is the denoted name for the ISO version of BS15000. It was published in December 2005.
As with BS15000, ISO 20000 comprises two documents:
: 2005 IT service management. Specification for service management
: 2005 IT service management. Code of practice for service management
It is the former of these against which certification is available.
Although closely associated with ITIL, ISO 20000 can in fact align with other frameworks. The following diagram illustrates this:
